Hello, I'm Gordon. I'm a business major who learned how to code. I have SWE, AI, and ML research experience, read more about it below!
About
I’m Gordon Bie, a third-year Information Systems and International Business, Data Science Minor student at Northeastern University. My path to tech was unconventional—moving from international relations to business before discovering programming, which immediately hooked me.
I’ve developed a strong interest in Machine Learning and AI. I’m currently a Tech Lead working on an AI software tool at Cortex Ventures, and previously interned at State Street as an AI Engineer and Data Analyst. Additionally, I have worked multiple research assistant jobs and will be interning at Flow Traders as a Trading Engineer.
Originally from Vancouver, BC and now based in Boston, MA and will be based in New York, NY. I enjoy cooking, gaming (board games and video games), matcha, and discovering new music outside of class and work.

Research
I'm early in my research journey, but hooked on how AI can transform different fields—from healthcare to manufacturing to business. I love exploring where deep learning and NLP can make a real impact. Ultimate goal? Making the world a little better, one project at a time.
Healthcare AI & Decision Support
Developing intelligent systems and predictive models to support clinical decisions and improve patient outcomes.
Industrial Engineering
Applying AI to optimize manufacturing processes, supply chains, and operational efficiency.
Medicine Development
Leveraging machine learning to accelerate drug discovery and the development of novel therapeutics.
Linguistics & Emotion
Exploring Natural Language Processing to better understand human communication and emotional processing.
I am open to and interested in researching more and learning more as long as it can help make the world a better place and is somewhat related to AI.
